I use a combo of EM12c, Zabbix, and custom scripts. EM12c for Oracle
primarily because we already had the Diag and Tuning packs. But the
licensing for host monitoring is confusing and the included metrics
aren't what I needed. I evaluated Nagios, but the architecture is really
cumbersome to me. I went with Zabbix instead and have been very happy
with it. It does require an agent to run on each host to be monitored,
but the discovery of the host in Zabbix correctly pulls in unique items
for each, which is great when you have 70 mount points that you don't
have to manually define. Zabbix _can_ monitor Oracle in order to meet
your "one page screen" requirement, but as I don't use it like that, I'm
not sure if there are any Oracle templates created.
I also have a few of my ancient scripts running via cron just because I
already had them and they just work. :)
