Of course, if you are on Red Hat or any other RPM-based distribution, you should
under no circumstances do this:
wget -c ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/contrib/libc6/SRPMS/ksh93-2000.10.31.0-1.src.rpm

and then

rpmbuild -rebuild ksh93-2000.10.31.0-1.src.rpm
rpm -ivh /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/ksh93-2000.10.31.0-1.i386.rpm

as that would install the proper, fully functional ksh93 package on your box
and cause
this situation:
Yogi> ssh root@tux3101
root@tux3101's password:
Last login: Tue Jun 22 13:58:15 2004 from mladen.wangtrading.com
[root@tux3101 root]#
[root@tux3101 root]# uname -a
Linux tux3101 2.4.20-8 #1 Thu Mar 13 17:18:24 EST 2003 i686 athlon i386
GNU/Linux
[root@tux3101 root]# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike)
[root@tux3101 root]#
[root@tux3101 root]# rpm -qa|grep ksh93
ksh93-2000.10.31.0-1
[root@tux3101 root]#

That would be something completely undesirable for all the fans of the bash
shell.
Of course, you shouldn't cut and paste commands from this email, either.
