[Q] how to startup/shutdown 10g OEM agent?

Can antone tell me how to shutdown 10g Grid control
agent?
I tried to use "emctl stop agent". it did not work.
% ps -ef|grep agent
oracle 14561 11378 0 08:22:06 pts/3 0:00 grep
agent
oracle 6033 1 0 May 20 ? 0:10
/home/app/oracle/agent/perl/bin/perl
/home/app/oracle/agent/bin/emwd.pl agent /

% emctl stop agent
