No. The session is waiting if the state is 'WAITING'.


The 'wait_time = 0' thing was true in earlier versions of Oracle but got broken in v9 when the timings changed
to microseconds and the decodes weren't brought up
to date.


The problem has been fixed, but I don't know which version of 9 fixed it - so as a guideline, don't look in the wrong place in case you get the wrong answer.

Juan, I think that's the correct view.

But remember the wait event is only active (that being the current wait
event) if the WAIT_TIME column is 0
