Is this by any chance about a dataguard configuration?
If so, you could check what your archivelog deletion policy is (on both sides).

Also, you can have a look at v$flash_recovery_area_usage to see what occupies 
the fra.

Maybe a bit of a long shot, but it's woth to have a look at it.
