I don't mean to challenge your expertise or experience. My response is a
11.2.0.3 db backup configuration with parfiles. Could this be a version
dependent feature where this is included in the log? If so, more info is
needed.

parameter on command line, it will be echoed in the expdp log file, this is
not true if you used a parfile tho'.
