Hi all,

Have you encountered this problem before:

On 9.2.0.8 if an index's last_analyzed date is set to a future date, the
GATHER_INDEX_STATS will not work. The index statistics are not
regenerated if the operating system date is less then the index's
last_analyzed date. No error messages are displayed either. But the
GATHER_TABLE_STATS works regardless of last_analyzed date!

Is there a way of tweaking the last_analyzed date? I see there's a
SET_INDEX_STATS procedure, but it doesn't cater for the LAST_ANALYZED
date. If I could reset the last_analyzed date to something older than
today, perhaps the gather_index_stats will work!!

Thanks,

Leng.
