That one needs better editing. I tried to look up the syntax for format
strings used in the "allocate channel" command. Chapter 9 (page 211) says
the entire syntax is in Appendix A. Appendix A (page 485) refers you to
Chapter 9. At that point, the book flew across the room and there it sits.
Waste of time.
