Thanks for sharing Jared.  It sounds like the DBA 2.0 presentation was pretty 
misleading.  I agree with your assessment on the validity of their tests (based 
solely on your notes - I didn't attend the presentation).  The other big 
problem I find with "DBA 2.0s" is that they can be completely clueless when 
their GUI doesn't work, e.g. they don't know what v$ views to look at, how to 
run RMAN, exp/imp, or datapump, how to format SQL*Plus output, etc.  I try to 
be neither a 1.0 nor a 2.0, but a combination of both - using either the 
command-line or the GUI depending on which one is better suited for the task at 
hand.
