LS, with out two node RAC environment if we lose one instance the other freezes till the lost instance transactions can be backed out. I am not 100% sure but the freeze you mention sounds like the normal RAC recover from failed instance activity time rather than a file system issue. -- Mark D Powell -- Phone (313) 592-5148 ________________________________ From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of LS Cheng Sent: Friday, August 14, 2009 8:35 AM To: Amir.Hameed@xxxxxxxxx Cc: oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Using QFS for RAC Hi We are doing some installations on 10gR2 RAC using QFS 4.6 So far i found a small problem is that when one nodes fails the whole I/O requests are freezed during 40, 50 seconds until QFS reconfigures itself. Not sure if this is a configuration problem or it works this way Thanks -- LSC On 8/13/09, Hameed, Amir <Amir.Hameed@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: Folks, Is anyone either using or has tested Sun's QFS file system for Oracle RAC?
