I would run STATSPACK and only make changes in response to specific
problems.  It's nice to have the growth area for when you need it.

There was a discussion a while ago to the effect that just throwing a
faster CPU or a larger SGA at a problem without diagnosing a specific
fix can sometimes make the problem worse.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
