This is a straight forward move for both Oracle and Informatica depending on
the path you wish to take.
Two different skill sets that are relatively easy to find.
The questions of interest are
1. Are you going to want to upgrade Oracle or Informatica during the
process?
2. How large is your database?
3. Do you currently have tables that are live updated throughout the day
instead of nightly only?
4. Does any of your tables contain long, blobs or clobs?
5. Are you going to want to change charactersets during the move?
6. Are you wanting to partition tables during the move?
7. Are any of your data streams coming from the a mainframe/iSeries or
non-Oracle databases for Informatica?
You should be able to contact most any consulting firm who can find people to
do this. The problem is finding someone who has actually done it, although it
can be mitigated with comparable skillsets.
