Ok I got this working. I will look it again..

Yes I have a set of standby redo + one extra mirroring
the redo for each database and a standby control file
for each.

I had to stop the second standby after I got it all
working. the archs from sydney to idaho caused
network issues.... We do alot of other images
transfers and this becamne problematic so now I have
to figure out how to work this.

Our eventual goal is RAC with standby to another
location. I will look for the Data Guard Admin
guide..

I was looking throught the standby docs and the 10g HA
book I have... let me tell you lots of mistakes in
both.

Thanks to everyone.....
