Question, Is there an Oracle Apps server also on this mount point? If so look for an ons.log, it's probably the culprit and there is a note on Metalink on how to fix it. Don't remember it off hand but it's in the lists archives as someone here pointed it out to me. ______________________________________________________________ Dick Goulet / Capgemini North America P&C / East Business Unit \Senior Oracle DBA / Outsourcing Office: 508.572.1978 / Mobile: 508.742.5795 / www.capgemini.com <http://www.capgemini.com/> Fax: 508.229.2019 45 Bartlett St. / Marlborough, MA 01752 Together: the Collaborative Business Experience ______________________________________________________________ ________________________________ From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Adrian Sent: Tuesday, May 15, 2007 3:19 PM To: oradba.la@xxxxxxxxx; oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: Something is filling up my /oracle file system - URGENT cd /oracle du -sk * | sort +0n identify the big directory and recurse. ________________________________ From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Manjula Krishnan Sent: 15 May 2007 19:09 To: oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Something is filling up my /oracle file system - URGENT Hi all: Something is chewing up the space in /oracle filesystem (AIX). I have trimmed all the log files I could find. No sooner do I free up the space than it gets used up. Can you help me find what is writing to this file system? Thanks, Manjula
