I'd think of tora as bit like Quest Central really, but with not quite so much functionality. The question is - have Quest bought out the windows version only - or the linux version as well? If Windows only - then IMHO (and only MO), the buy out was to squash a competitive product.. If they'vee bought the rights to the linux version (which is free) then they could be looking at moving in to tools on that platform.. I guess only time will tell. For the DBA purposes, there is a tool called DBA Companion which can partially replace tora. -- Mladen Gogala Oracle DBA ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html ----------------------------------------------------------------- --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
