Try the SSWUG lists over at sswug.org ... very good, and usually as busy as oracle-l.
Weirdly, they separate their lists by versions, so you'll see sql2k@xxxxxxxxx , sql2k5@xxxxxxxxx and sql2k8@xxxxxxxxxx Also, don't be duped into "buying" any articles from their website ... they're almost all just links to freely available material anyway.
