Hi David,
Oracle has heterogeneous gateway which can query any ODBC compliant database. The documentation is here:

http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/HETER/toc.htm

Easysoft also has a pretty nice cheat sheet which can be found here:

http://www.easysoft.com/applications/oracle/hsodbc.html

SAP has a very decent ODBC driver which can be used to set up a HS connection.

We are moving our SAP BW installation off Oracle to SAP HANA. Currently, to support a data warehouse that incorporates SAP as well as data from other sources, we are using PL/SQL to extract certain information from the SAP BW database that completely by-passed all the SAP connection layers/tools/etc.

Is anyone querying SAP HANA directly from Oracle? If so, how? If not, what methodology might be in use to transfer data into Oracle from HANA.
