RE: Rman does not use all of the allocated channels

I see the same thing with a couple of my smaller databases.  My hot backup 
script always allocates 6 channels - the big databases use all 6, but my 
smaller databases only use 5.

Maybe RMAN didn't need the additional channel. How large is your database?
