Hi, You may just configure RMAN with this command: CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO RECOVERY WINDOW OF 3560 DAYS; This will maintain your backup for 10 years. I would have though you should be able to tell RMAN to backup the database and archivelogs and keep that set forever, thus allowing you to restore and recover to a constistent state (for instance year end backups). There does not appear to be such a feature/clause. Am I just not reading the docs correctly or is this really the case? -- Jack van Zanen ------------------------- This e-mail and any attachments may contain confidential material for the sole use of the intended recipient.
