I finally created the MView and a function called MY_MV_CAPABILITIES per
http://www.sqlsnippets.com/en/topic-12884.html
But it says "Not Capable of: REFRESH_COMPLETE" - how can that be?
SQL> select my_mv_capabilities( 'SELECT * FROM S_MV_1', 'REFRESH' ) as
mv_report from dual;
MV_REPORT

REFRESH_COMPLETE
no primary key constraint in the master table
REFRESH_FAST

see the reason why REFRESH_FAST_AFTER_INSERT is disabled
REFRESH_FAST_AFTER_ANY_DML
see the reason why REFRESH_FAST_AFTER_ONETAB_DML is disabled
