G'day,
After patching the RedHat kernel on my database servers, I usually relink the
oracle home against the newly patched kernel, just to make sure. This is
normally an uneventful step that completes quicklly and without errors. This
time, however, one home (out of many) would not relink. The relink log shows a
java exception:
oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException: Unexpected EOF.
...(call stack omitted)...
The relinkActions log has a large number of lines saying
INFO: Improper attribute found in MAKE tag
No other messages appear in any log, or on the screen. The version is 11.2.0.4,
with the April 2017 PSU installed. The machine runs RedHat 6.9, patched up to
last week. All other homes, which still relink quite uneventfully, are also the
same version and patch levels, just as the OS's.
Has anyone seen this before? Where should I start looking?
Cheers,
Tony
