I am checking a client database (10.2.0.3) running on Win 2003 R2. There are a high number of waits for "log file sync" and "log file parallel writes". This database is using OMF and Flashback. Naturally everything has been thrown onto the same file system (executables, db files, redo logs, etc.). The redologs are duplexed onto the same file system, but different directories. I noticed that the "Date Accessed" timestamps (at the os level) on these redo logs are all the same. I am used to seeing the timestamps correspond to the time when they were accessed (e.g. the active redo log should have a more recent timestamp). I feel like I'm missing something obvious here. Why do all of the redo logs have the same timestamp? I suspect it's related to Flashback (which I'll admit I haven't used extensively). Thank you, Jay
