RE: Recovery -- Can't place tablespace offline ?

Ruth , TSPITR in not needed in my case.
Perhaps my original post was not clear or 
that u have mis-understood my question .

As Hemant & Richard Foote pointed out , taking
my tablespace OFFLINE IMMEDIATE helped me
to recover the tablespace with database open.
