Juan,

Find out whether datafile needs recovery or not by selecting V$DATAFILE_HEADER.

Subject: Read only tablespace ORA-01251: Unknown File Header Version read for
file number

Hi I don't know if you know please how to fix this error
ORA-01251: Unknown File Header Version read for file number

The datafiles was copied, but for some reason in windows xp, (problem didn't
happen with other databases), can recognize a readonly datafile, then the
tablespace was offile, copying again and trying to put online I got the
previous error.

The datafile is there, all is ok, v$datafile checked, etc., I don't know if
there is a trick to fix it.

Thanks
