I am trying to learn more about Remote Terminal Emulation (RTE)
softwares for home grown as well packaged applications and how they
work, i.e. their basics.

Can you please tell me about the most common RTE for=20

- Client/server
- Web applications

and what level of simulation do they offer? i.e. whether they
simulate transactions, users, volume of data and so on.
