RMAN version compatability

Okay,
Trying to figure out the version compatibility matrix. After two days
of chewing on my whole migration issue for my current environment, it
looks like I will be creating and setting up Grid control using 11g. I
will be upgrading my 9i 32bit databases to 10gr2 64bit.
As part of this, I want to get RMAN setup and scheduled backups going
within Grid control. But, the question is, when I run RMAN from the
Grid control, and the target is a 10g databasd, which rman gets run?
The 11g or the 10g?
Can rman from 11g be used to backup and restore a 10gr2 database ?
