Sorry for invading your thread. I have a slightly different question
on delete obsolete.
If you put your backups on tape using DataProtector as a media agent.
Which maintainance steps you need to perform on RMAN catalog?
And when deleting obsolete backup sets do you need to open a channell
to the right tapes or is it enought just to connect to the rman
catalog.
