Dennis, without kidding, the only place that I know that has such
setup is 911 department of the state of NY. I know that mostly
because I used to work with the top-of-the-line DBA who used to
work  there. It's a Canadian guy by the name Bernard Antonouk,
and he is really good. During my tenure at OXHP, we were splitting 
EMC, but it was raid 1+0 and we didn't have 3 copies, but 2 copies,
one production and one for performance testing. Bernie used to be 
one of the top guys at Ingres and he was consulting  in NYC in the 
late 90's (97,98,99). I don't know where is he now, but he would be 
a guy that I'd look for if I needed a setup like that.
