I use the words duplicate and clone interchangably.  What used to be called
cloning a database can now be accomplished using the DUPLICATE command in
RMAN.  A standby database can be created by duplicating/cloning and is used
as a backup database for disasters, etc.

What is the difference between Duplicate (cloning ?)
database and Standby database ?
