We are a location where our SAs don't like autoextend ... even DBAs =
don't want autoextend.

is there a practical need to do that? I typically just turn autoextend =
on for all my files and have code that monitors the bytes in all my =
segments in a tablespace vs. the size of the datafile and I get an email =
if its close to filling up or if the datafile extends.=20

is there a need for a more comprehensive approach?=20
