I did some playing around with this early last year. My first approach was using a 3rd party tool to add the needed network infrastructure. Didn't get all the way there, but I did get quite far. Might work now if you try with some later 11gR2 releases... I know there have been enhancements to the interconnect code and I might have been getting stuck there. http://www.ardentperf.com/2011/03/04/byo-oracle-rac-on-ec2/ Another possible approach would be using either linux containers or user-mode linux to virtualize within a single EC2 instance. This is what I want to try next, but I haven't had time to work on it yet. Hoping to have some time when I'm back home from Africa in May. :) -Jeremy -- http://www.ardentperf.com +1 312-725-9249 Jeremy Schneider Chicago On 01/02/2012 01:06 PM, William Muriithi wrote: > Happy new year everyone, > > I have tried to do a bit of googling against both the Amazon support > forum and general Internet but I do not find anything helpful perhaps > because of the the different way private public network can be > interpreted. > > I am curious if there is anyone here who has attempted setting up a > RAC on amazon cloud.
