Ultimately I knew it wasn't like this but I was hoping it was.

How do you guys setup your Oracle homes for different versions? I had
originally wanted to do something like \oracle\product\10.2.0.4.24\db_1 for
upgraded homes, but decided against it.

So now I have
\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1 (10.2.0.2)
\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_2 (10.2.0.4 Patch 7)
\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_3 (10.2.0.4 Patch 24)

Ultimately the db_1 & db_2 databases will all be moved to the db_3 home, but
it's not as intuitive as I would like to have the directories so "vanilla".

Subject: Question about patch levels

If you're running 10.2.0.4 cpu patch 24, is there a version number for this
like 10.2.0.4.24?
