We also have the Veritas Netbackup Oracle setup. With the exception of some=
sluggish reponse to *some*=20
support questions, we have found it to be very stable.
We didn't use the Veritas wizard to generate the scripts, we put our own to=
gether.
Which wasn't complicated, just a shell script with the correct environment =
settings,
followed by a call to RMAN calling an rman backup script.
My only other gripe would be about the licence costs. I believe there is a =
standard one-off charge
to use the NB MML. If memory serves this is somewhere in the region of =A38=
k for EVERY host that has
the NB-Oracle link.
Given the price you can get some of the low-end hosts these days, this is d=
isgusting.

We worked with Veritas tape system and Verita Netbackup and had problems
with them. The backups failed from time to time.
We move to another tape system, I do not know which one, with Omnibackup
agents and had almost no problems since.
