IIRC the installation is supposed to be forms first and then the =
database in order to get the homes set up correctly

Subject: [Q] can ORACLE Developer 6i work with ORACLE 8.1.7 or 9ir2 =
client?

I plan to make ORACLE Developer 6i work with ORACLE
9ir2 or 8.1.7 client, but NOT successful. The way I
am doing are:

   1. install 9ir2 client on Win2000 include sql*net
and TCP/IP protocol.

   2. install Forms 6i and requirement support files,
but NOT include NET8 and TCP/IP.

   3. double click "Form builder" and get "nl80.dll"
NOT found.

I check "NL80.DLL", it include in Developer 6i SQL*NET
module.

Does there has way to make Developer 6i work with 8i
or 9ir2 client?

Thanks.
