Juan My contention is that Microsoft has carefully labeled its product offerings "Enterprise Edition" and "Standard Edition" in a shameless attempt to convince gullible people that it has two offerings that are equivalent to Oracle's. If you dig into the details, you discover the resemblance ends at the names. My contention is that Microsoft does not offer a product equivalent to Oracle Enterprise Edition. If you are even considering Microsoft, then Oracle Standard Edition is adequate for your needs. Therefore the proper comparison is between Microsoft Enterprise Edition and Oracle Standard Edition.
