select plan_hash_value, count(*) from v$sql group by plan_hash_value; If you have a very large number of statements with the same plan_hash_value, they may be the "same" statement with different literal values - i.e. candidates for bind variables. Is there anything wrong here ? : : If HASH_VALUE column is used to link these views, then what is the use of : PLAN_HASH_VALUE in v$sql ? : : : Thanks, : ~Dilip : : : : : ---------------------------------------------------------------- : Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com : ---------------------------------------------------------------- : To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx : put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. : -- : Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ : FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html : ----------------------------------------------------------------- : ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html -----------------------------------------------------------------
