Surely something is there on OS side. Did found few things like
- If I am doing ls command in the directory with any number of files, it worked
- If ls -ltr is done in the same directory , it hust hanged
- If removed the file to around 100 files in the directory , then ls -ltr
worked fast

Also any other command which is linke finding or grepping is hanging including
top

CPU is surely not issue. Very strange situation. Yes it affect the application
new connection. Will monitor the number of process today along with who owns
them. This problem occured only some peak time and so surely have some link
with Foring process or some swap or. There is plenty of Swap and TEMP space in
Gigabytes

It seems as if Solaris is unable to fork new processes.
It could either be hitting process limits (global or *per user*)  or it could
be hitting limits with swap allocation for the processes.
Can't recall what the Solaris parameters for this would be.

i had one big OLTP environment running on Solaris 10 with 256G RAM and 30+ CPU.
There are sometime in a day when all OS command are totally freezed. Even ls
command take several minute. CPU was showing more than 60% idle. If I am
connected to database, then call to check Db like locks or other query works
fine. What can be the issue to be checked more closely. Also Application trying
to connect from outside are affected.
TIA
Sanjay
