We have a situation where we need to fix a SAN disk issue on the target
side of a Oracle 9.2.0.7 with Dataguard. The fix is to upgrade the
kernel version from 2.6.42 to 2.6.55. However, we cannot get downtime
right now to fix the source side.

My feeling is that it is ok to update the target Linux server kernel for
now, and they update the source side as time permits. The only thing I
am advising is to relink Oracle. Any thoughts on this strategy?
