You don't have an instructor in-person, but you are on phone and on-line
with them and are encouraged to ask questions if needed.

Renee, 
I agree, that the Oracle University courses are good, but the one
downside of taking an online course is that you do not have an
instructor there when you have questions. If you have enough hands-on
experience as a DBA and you are only taking the course because it is a
requirement for the OCP, then you should be fine.
