Oracle Streams de-supported after 11gr2

Our management is thinking to implement Oracle streams for an ROD (Replication
Online Database) instance. We heard one of our DBA saying Oracle is planned to
de-support Streams in the future versions due to the Goldengate acquisition.
Is that true?
