Hi Amit,
It is supported, so you can do hardware upgrades by adding new nodes to
your cluster, then deleting the old ones.
However, it is not recommended for sustained durations. The huge imbalance
in CPU cores and memory may cause odd, asymmetrical loads on the
interconnect and result in strange gc waits. Oh course, the risk would
likely be mitigated if the load wasn't very heavy, but with nodes as large
as you specified, I suspect you're expecting substantial workloads.
I would recommend running on identical hardware, and balancing your
workload so as to minimize interconnect traffic.
