Well, that's Ilmar Kerm's project who is an experienced Oracle DBA and a
participant on this list. There is nothing about that project that proves
or disproves whether GI is free.
The licensing information that Andrew posted makes it pretty clear that it
is free as long as Oracle's criteria are met. You cannot use GI to protect
a PostgreSQL database without a database license on one of the servers in
the cluster OR the host OS has an Oracle Linux support contract.
