Of course the question is not the job being posted but did they actually HIRE
someone at that rate and what KIND of person did they get?
I can hire a boatload of DBA's for $10 an hour..... Just gotta run to the local
hang-out corner where all the labor waits ... now, what kind of results I get
might be worth asking... :-)

You can pay me now.....

Or you can pay me later after you can't recover your database. :-)

The LDS Church is looking for DBA's. You do have to be a Church member in
good standing. A lot of kind people write me, concerned I may be breaking
the law by saying you have to be a Church member. It's legal I promise! :-)

compensation is not the same across the country even given for living
standards. I have been told that technical pay in south florida is horrible.

that being said, in a bad economy, I have seen alot of terrible wage positions.
There was a job advertised recently for a senior DBA in fairfax, va at $50k
that required 100% travel. I also see alot of "can't quit or we sue you
contracts" that pay nothing, and don't guarantee payment in any sort of time
period.
