I just wrote them a feedback about this. You first have to know to click the database link then you have to understand that the parens() in that document for table 2 are a link. I don't think that's a standard convention anywhere. How about a nice big flashing arrow that says, "This way to Download?" I'll read the rest of the documentation later. I think their process stinks. I went through advanced search and could not get to the patch. My partner did and the difference was that I selected Windows 2003 as an operating system and he selected Windows 32 bit. That shouldn't have happened and adds to my feeling that behind the scenes the Elbonians are running Oracle. -----Original Message----- From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Schultz, Charles Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2006 9:39 AM To: oracle-l Subject: RE: Oracle Critical Patch Update April 2006 Advisory??? If you click on the "Database" link, it will bring you to another note (#360465.1). The patches are not underlined (no decoration associated with the link). If you scroll down, you will see specific patches for various RDBMS versions. For instance, 10.2.0.1 * UNIX and Linux: 5049080 <http://updates.oracle.com/ARULink/PatchDetails/process_form?patch_num=5 049080> * Windows 32: Patch 6 (5059238 <http://updates.oracle.com/ARULink/PatchDetails/process_form?patch_num=5 059238> ) or later * Windows Itanium 64-bit: Patch 6 (5059251 <http://updates.oracle.com/ARULink/PatchDetails/process_form?patch_num=5 059251> ) or later * Windows x86 64-bit: Patch 6 (5059261 <http://updates.oracle.com/ARULink/PatchDetails/process_form?patch_num=5 059261> ) or later _____ From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Marquez Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2006 8:34 AM To: oracle-l Subject: Oracle Critical Patch Update April 2006 Advisory??? Maybe I just missing the obvious or confused, but where is the patch (for the RDBMS)? Do I have to use Metalink "Patch Search" and *find* it for my DB/OS version?...and what bug /patch do I reference. The Note is very clear, but not about "what to do"? PS Anybody like/use the "Oracle Default Password Scanner"? Was going to try it today. -----Original Message----- From: Oracle Security Alerts [mailto:replies@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, April 18, 2006 7:40 PM Subject: Oracle Critical Patch Update - April 2006 Dear Oracle customer, The Critical Patch Update for April 2006 is now available.
