Thanks, George! My database is 10g R1. I finally found out that the same
settings actually worked in one of my 10g environments. It didn't work in
one 10g R1 environment because the database was automatically installed by
an application. There must be something that wasn't installed or configured
right in it. How to confirm that Advaced Security was installed?
