It's a mixture of OS and platform in fact. 

smycjit.dll isn't used on Linux for x86 on a P4 (it's a dll after all!),
but is used on Windows. It's not OS specific on Windows, as Niall
mentioned, but is related to P4 processors with all windows platforms.

Actually, the problem is with Symantec's JIT DLL, which is Windohs only.
