OT: How to sort archive searches

From what I can tell, Freelist.org uses Google for searching. Neither Google
nor Freelist seem to support any type of sorting mechanism. I know Google
uses some bizarre page ranking system, but that should not be a
consideration for Freelist. Sorting by date desc would be awesome - perhaps
I missed that in the FAQ, but I think not.
