Maybe you missed my earlier post, or those of others?
get gnu grep

grep -3 string file 

this shows 6 lines of context for each hit.

No no no...

I found the command: SEARCH.  It's kinda like grep, but grep
will only display the line where the string was found.
SEARCH /WINDOW would give you lines optionally before
or after the string.  THAT's what I'm trying to find...
