Same here. I tried the same thing to my symbian and the pdf conversion was not
the best. Couldn't handle the table formats in the docs properly and failed
with some of the images as well. However, I did have good success converting
the html versions of the docs to epub with minimal conversion issues on my
Nokia.

I use Calibre to sync my Kindle with my laptop (Linux). I was disappointed
when I tried to convert some pdfs into a kindle format as there was a lot of
junk included with the converted pdf and if I recall it didn't handle the
pictures well. It's obviously possible since the Thinkfree Office app on my
android phone can convert it perfectly.

I haven't specifically tried it for Oracle pdf's but this (open source) tool is
pretty slick for organising your ebooks :

http://calibre-ebook.com/

It will convert pdf's to mobi's (and other formats for other ebook readers).

I agree. I find it almost unusable for PDFs. For the text to be readable, you
need to scroll back and forth to read each line.

You can convert PDFs to a kindle readable format. Here's a good article on the
options:

I haven't tried too many documents and it does work but not always perfectly.
