The up side to not installing the patches is that you will won't have to wa=
ste time on Metalink when you run into issues -  because the first thing Or=
acle Support will tell you to do is install the patches.  Save yourself the=
 headache and install the patches. =20

What are the consequences to not installing all of the required OS patches
for an Oracle software installation? My sys admins want me to ignore the
Installer failures and install without them. I think I may have software
issues later if the patches are not applied.

The patches are for Java 2 SDK (HP-UX 11.0 64 bit) and Oracle Developer
Suite 10g (9.0.4)
